[So when the video starts there's Kaine looking confused and concerned, instead of just confused like always. And he's not irritated with things either, so something's definitely up today.]

I think there's something up with my bird.

[He moves the camera over to show a Xatu just sort of standing there. Staring. Straight ahead, or sort of with one eye towards the camera and the other intensely studying the wall behind it because of how Xatu's eyes are positioned. It's not the Espurr stare of death that everyone's probably seen from one broadcast or another or anything like that, but Kaine still finds it pretty unsettling.]

She didn't used to do this until she...changed.

[Evolved just doesn't sound right to him.]

And I checked the Pokedex, it says something about meditating or seeing the future or something like that, but is that really what it's doing? Because to be honest, it's starting to freak me the hell out.

[Because several hours of just staring is weird, okay?]

You guys all know this Pokemon crap better than I do, so I figure one of you can probably explain what's going on here.

Calm down. This sort of behavior is normal for this Pokemon.

[He should know, since his own has been a Xatu for quite a while. Staring into the abyss is his forte.]

You are welcome to ask if you really want to know what she is doing, but I wouldn't expect to receive much of an answer.

Okay, but normal for Pokemon isn't exactly normal by...

Normal...standards. Look, I don't exactly have the most normal life there is, but this? Not really anyone's definition of normal.

Given the description of this species in the Pokedex, I don't know what you expect for her to be doing. What would you call normal behavior?

Look, I just don't get how seeing the future is considered normal around here.

[Because even when he could do it years ago during the dark age of Spider-Man comics, he didn't really consider it normal.]

Or if it's not doing that, staring at things for hours.

I'm amazed you've been here for any length of time and don't know by now that Pokemon are rather known for being able to do things that are considered 'not normal'. Seeing into the future is just as abnormal as breathing fire would be, isn't it?

I'd say breathing fire's more normal than seeing into the future. Or the past. Or whatever the hell she's doing.

[At least he thinks that's the case.]

And I've seen a bunch of weird Pokemon here, I mean I even picked up one of those stupid keychain ones, but this is new. She didn't do this before. She just went out of her way to drive me up a wall.

Which she's still doing, I guess.

I'm assuming you mean that she did this when she was still a Natu. My experience with mine was similar, though even when he was a Natu I never got much out of him.

[He's...very quiet. Very concentrated all the time.]

I don't know what else to tell you, but your Pokemon isn't acting any stranger than it might have normally. That is just the way they are.

No, there was less staring, more finding inventive ways to make my life hell. Like dragging me into the stupid Viridian Forest.

[Okay, there was still probably staring, but he didn't notice that so much as the whole dragging him into the neverending forest thing.]

Great. So I'll just have to get used to it then. Like they keychains. And all the other stupid crap that happens here.

You may want to, assuming that you are going to be here for a while. Wondering what your Pokemon is thinking about when it stares at walls is likely to be the least of your worries.

Yeah, well have to worry about something in between earthquakes and jackasses reenacting monster movies. Apparently, it's this.

Yeah, probably. More or less gotten used to everything else here. That I've seen, anyway.

I don't know about that. I saw one on the network once that was especially creepy. Hard to top that. And yeah, but...

How do they know that's what it's doing anyway?

I asked the nurse at one of the Poke Centers and she said different scientists do extensive research on each species before the information is made public.

I guess that makes sense for most things, but how do you research it seeing the future?

[He has no idea what's in most of Johto since he took the Kanto ferry and never looked back.

Except to complain about Kanto.]

They're located near Violet City.

[Which doesn't mean he's interested in seeing them, just that he wasn't aware of..most things in Johto. Besides some big city, a park, and New Bark Town.

If you do visit it, don't do the puzzles. They're booby trapped.

I mean the floors collapse if you attempt to try one and get it wrong.

Of course there's trap doors. I don't even know why I'm still surprised by things like that.

I imagine so. The 30 minutes I was there was terrifying enough.
